This unique stair access system was installed at Docklands, Melbourne. Working with the “Sea Shepherd” organisation was very special for Swiftscaff. Knowing all the hard work they do including the work with wildlife adventurer – Steve Irwin and others, we were very proud to support the crew when they asked us to help getting people onto “Sea Shepherd” to show them around.
We had to create a stair access system that allowed for the changing tides at the Docklands wharf. We installed a 2m wide 3m long gang plank attached to our scaffold with our lock against lift off system making it impossible for it to come away while the public came aboard.
Our stair systems are in four different types:
- We have standard builder’s stairs that go to the working level not 500mm below or above.
- We have inbuilt ladder access that works well in narrow access areas.
- We have stretcher stair system that we can make landings to our client request.
- We have a public access system that works to all new DDA compliants.
